So if I disabled the internal wireless adapter in the control panel would that fix it?

Any time you use a different adapter, either the third party software for the Wireless adapter will manage that one, or will attempt to manage all. If you are going to be using different wireless adapters, I would suggest just installing the drivers, no extra software, let Windows manage the Network devices.

I did disable the internal wireless adapter to see if it would help and now Chrome gives me a no data received error message and now I can only connect to one of the three public wifi signals or if I do manage to connect it says it's limited. When I trouble shoot the network it says windows can't communicate with the primary DNS server. This is only for the public BT wifi and it still does this when I turn on the internal wireless adapter.

Most likely BT set a Proxy on the computer, along with assigned DNS servers for the adapters. You would have to do a ipconfig /all, in Command window, to see while not connected to anything.

So I did the ipconfig in the command window and it came up with this : Click image for larger version

And now when I connect to the home wifi it shows it's limited and I also get the no data received error message in chrome.

Limited, go through the fixes for the network. ipconfig /flushdns. ntsh winsock reset catalog. netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.txt. Do all four commands, and see if that fixes things.

I typed those commands and the winsock one says it's not recognized and the ip reset one tells me Access Denied.

It always does that. Just ignore and reboot. Even when you do it as administrator, it does that. A lot has to do with the Windows\System32 folder is only allowed permission for the installer.
