Leave note for remote supported user

I remotely support a couple of relatives using Team Viewer, and am able (and do) to sometimes go into their systems to carry out updates without them being there.

I would like to leave a sticky note of some sort on their W8.1 start screens after I have been there to tell them what I have done. I would like them to easily delete the note once it has been read. Is this possible on the start screen, or is the way that it works unsuitable for this sort of thing?

Can anyone suggest a simple application that can do this? I have looked on the web for suitable applications, but those that I have found seem unsuitable for one reason or another. Does anyone have any suggestions or favourite sticky note solutions?

I use notepad in this situation and leave it filling the desktop. When you disconnect then if you are on the desktop the desktop remains and is what they will see when they come back.

This looks OK if you want to use start screen - Sticky Notes 8 app for Windows in the Windows Store but I've not used it.

Out of interest how do you take control of their system if they are not there to grant control? I always have to request control and then they agree before I can do anything.

adamf - thanks for your response - I will look at Sticky Notes 8 as suggested.

With regards to your other query, with Team Viewer, when I set up someone to be supported, they are given a permanent Team Viewer password, and as long as I have that, and they are switched on, I can get in while they are not there. I have to set them up not to close down after a time.

Incidentally, Soluto can also allow remote log-on in the absence of the target user (although the remote desktop does not operate so well, I find), but it manages the access in a different way. Soluto also has the advantage of keeping an eye on the other machines for me, and reporting to me once a week on what is going on there.
