eBay is the only slow site on my PC only!

Hello, few days ago my PC start loading ebay.com very slow. sometimes the first request don't work and the connection props then the other one will open the site but very slow.

This started after I've restored my PC using system restore.


what I've done to solve the issue:

1- Reset the router.
2- Disable the antivirus
3- Refresh my PC (which got me back to windows 8)
4- Updated to 8.1
5- Re-installed my Wi-Fi card drivers.
6- Google DNS
7- OpenDNS
8- reset windows firewall
9- reset Internet explorer
10- reinstalled chrome and deleted everything
11- tried to load it from internet explorer


connection is a bit faster when I try it from another Wi-Fi network and extremely fast if opened the site from my phone using my Wi-Fi. using my network it will take 10 - 30 sec to load the ebay site. using other network it will load in 1 - 3 sec. using my phone on my network will take 1 - 3 sec to load.

My PC:
Sony VAIO T 15 Touch

8GB DDR3 RAM
1.8GHz Intel Core i5

any idea?

What does Trace Route show when you run "tracert ebay.com" in a command window. Can you post the results.

The OpenDNS and Google DNS have the same delay and there is no improvement at all :(

My desktop have no problem access the site with no delay. The tracert is the exact same as my laptop but still my laptop is very slow and the desktop is very fast.

For the record, I am getting similar delay times to yours; however, I find it strange that my trace shows a bunch of failures when the actual website opens very quickly. It seems like ebay might be having trouble retrieving additional resources after the fact but that's just an uneducated guess on my part. Again, ebay opens/displays for me very quickly:

Update: I missed the fact that you are getting the same timeouts.

Update again: I also missed the fact that your current routing encounters a sustained slowdown at 17.

Still the same issue :(
Today I've called my ISP and they'll replace my router with anew one (VDSL) on sunday.
I'll be waiting till then to check with the new router.

I had similar issue with another laptop where it didn't open only one site at all, but I wasn't able to access it from all the devises connected to my router, replacing the router solved it. This time my laptop has this issue only using my router. using any other device on my router is ok. using my laptop on any other router is ok!

Looks like the problem is not with your ISP, but the Fiber link (Sprintlink) from your country to the states. Also Level3 has been having issues of late. In that a lot of routing through their backbone is going bad.

Today I've got the new VDSL router and still the same issue :(
eBay is normal on the other 2 computers and 4 smartphones using my router. and eBay is fine on my laptop using other routers.

I think the laptop has something really wrong with it, so i'll just use the recovery partition and remove everything (Again).

this will be updated in few hours to post the new status.

My ISP says there is nothing wrong with it and the firewall is not blocking anything

I do have it running but it's disabled for some sites including eBay :/
