Computer crashed, now not able to connect to Internet

My computer hard rive recently crashed and was sent off to manufacturer to be supposedly fixed. Once I got it back my internet connection was spotty. Internet explorer would often stop working. It got to a point that I could not connect tonetworks, I tried multiple networks. This occurred a week before I left the country and didn't have much time to look into it.

I am connecting to a network and only getting "limited connectivity". My iPhone and iPad are able to connect. I've spent a few hours playing with it and googling. I get the message "one or more network protocols are missing on this computer". When I check the network connections it says IPv4 Connectivity: No Internet Access. IPv6 Connectivity: No Internet Access.

    I have Windows 8.

I am not computer savvy, my resources are very limited. There is not a best buy to consult. I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

For this type of problem you need to run system file scans to make sure the system files aren't corrupted. There could also be component store corruption which is what the DISM scan is for.

Follow the directions in the link and let me know what the scans say after running them. No guarantee's here as drive problems are not always fixable.

The scan came back with "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"

That sounds good, but I'm not sure what that means regarding my issue.

Well at least the system files are intact.

It may help if you fill out your system specs as I'm not sure what type of system we are dealing with here.

If you can unzip and run the file below it will place a .txt Network Information on your desktop which you can upload to this page.

If you get the file error security message just choose to run anyway, it's perfectly safe to run this file.

This may be a silly question but how do I get that file to open on my desktop without being able to connect to Internet? I'm not sure how to transfer it from my iPad.

Normally another machine is used to move files to a USB drive then onto the machine.

I assume you can't connect wired or wirelessly?

Can't hardly give exact directions for a particular phone but I assume there is a way to download files etc.

Just as a layman, I would try the simplest process first. Re-Install your network Driver (LAN Driver)

I would think it would be the first thing tried but the way it's going lately maybe not.

I operate on the following factors, as I know very, very little, I take the approach that everybody is just like me. I think like a layman, therefore I assist like a layman. Then, if I am shot down or informed that the person that I reply too knows more than I, I step aside and let the big boys handle it. I suppose assuming that nobody knows anything has it's advantages sometimes, other times it makes an ass out of me.

Yes I suppose that asking for system information and posting an ipconfig is asking too much these days.
