    WIFI Continuous lost connectivity

    Dear Friends,
I am having Dell Inspiron 15R 5521 Laptop, which was bought in September'2013. Since than I am facing problems of my wifi networks which has really got worsened in last few days. The main problem is received and failed connectivity while wifi is connected. It also first connects but than starts showing things like connecting, limited, connected and suddenly the bar shows the network is lost.
    I am using windows 8.
Please help as it is taking on my nerves now to resolve this.
    thanks in advance.

Some do have a bad habit of not holding a connection. Lets start with the basics. What is the chipset for the adapter (You can post the Speccy results, to show info on your machine. It will not show any personal info). Also post the results from "netsh wlan show drivers" and "netsh wlan show all". You do not need the quotes, just use the commands and past the results.

Now for Networking gear. What is the manufacturer and model of your router with wifi or access point if you personally own. If you are using a public hotspot, you would not have that info, unless you use something like inSSIDer, then you would only show manufacturer.

Any db level of -60 or lower is best. Anything higher then -65 you start seeing issues. Also if you own the wifi access point, you can try a different channel, such as 1 or 5.

archiabhay first of all you must discover that this is your loptop issue or your modem/access point issue. do you test your loptop in any other network ? with another access point ?

There seems to be almost no correlation to performance - 5 bars could be a 100+ Mbps connection, or it could be < 5 Mbps... On the other hand, 4, 3, 2, and 1 bars all mean that the connection is going to be flaky and unstable
