several problems with my laptop's wifi

    hello
i really suffer when i use my laptop to connect to the internet via wifi due to many problems i hope you can help me with it
    1. can't connect to this network : this message appears every time i try to connect to the internet even at home where the distance between the laptop and the router is less than one meter aand no one is using the internet
2.even if i managed to connect to the network i can't connect to the internet for a while -varies from 5 to 10 minutes-
    3. sometimes the network auto disconnects with no error message
4.there is a small '!' above every available network and i remember it disappeared for a while and the networking was perfect

Open up a Command window as administrator from the desktop (Hold down the Windows key, then press the 'X' key, then choose "Command Prompt (Admin)". Inside the Command prompt, enter the following without the quotes "netsh wlan show all". Copy the information that lists, then paste on here.

It will not show any Passphrase, just BSSID information, and the signal strength that your adapter is seeing from the Access Point.

Also, how far are you from the Access Point? Try also downloading the drivers from the computer manufacturer website, if this adapter is on a laptop. I have found that the Microsoft drivers from Microsoft/Windows update, is screwing up a lot of connections for wifi.

You can also try and do a disable on the adapter in Network adapters, then reenable. At other times, I have had to go into the registry and delete the adapters from the registry setting. You can follow the instructions here Delete Wireless Network Profiles in Windows 8(.1) - Microsoft Community or here http://www.thesysadminhimself.com/20...windows-8.html

The Registry Profile you are looking for is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles".

The "!" you are seeing is an indication that the network is unsecured(no password) or you have limited connectivity. I suggest you reset the router & modem to defaults. Then reconfigure the router with WPA2 for wireless security.

Looks like you are connecting to the wrong SSID or have the power turned down. TP-LINK_FFB1FB is the strongest one, which I am guessing is your Wifi Access Point. The TP-LINK_FDE9BC is probably someone else's wifi that left it open without a password, is why both are stating "Open" for Authentication & Encryption.

Need to set a Passphrase and set for WPA(tkip)/WPA2(aes) for Security. You also need to go into the registry using the link I gave, and delete out all adapters & wifi hot spots, then reconnect to the correct one.

In order to help troubleshoot this issue you need to provide as much information as possible. We only know what you tell us.

I asked you to reset the router & modem.. Have you?

Could you provide the make & model of the router?

Could you provide the make & model of the computer?

Download the attached file, Network.bat > Right click and select Run as Administrator. This will create a file called Network.txt on the Desktop. Please attach the file to your next post.
