Try rebooting the router & modem. Usually limited connection, means that the compute has failed to communicate properly with the Wireless Access Point, or wired router connection.

Are you running the latest g505 bios? Did you download the 8.1 wireless drivers from Lenovo? If not, both updates are available here:

FYI, sometimes a new laptop may not be up to date because it may have been manufactured long before it was actually sold.

    Good luck,

Nope - reboot your router. I had to do this 4 times in the last 2 days. Limited means you can connect to your router but for some reason it can't see the internet. Unplug your router (the TV box thing) and plug it in again- it works for me.

adamf, if you are having to reboot your router four or more times, try doing a Winsock reset & flushdns. You can also flush/reset the IP table in Windows. Usually either you have failing hardware, a bad cable, bad wireless card, bad driver, or Internet security software, which starts causing these issues.

    Try this:

_ go to Control Panel>>System>>Device Manager>> Network Adapters>>Belkin Wireless Adapter>>Properties>>Power Management Tab>> Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" that should work! I had teh same problem.
    _
    Uncheck everything BUT.
    Client For Microsoft network
    QoS Packet Scheduler
    File and Print Sharing
    Internet Protocol Version 6
    Internet Protocol Version 4
_Go to control panel and search for Power Then click edit power plan then click change advanced power settings then wireless Adapter settings then power saving and make sure its maximum performance on both

    hope i helped you

    Hello

I tried all that and nothing worked so i had to re store the laptop to factory default to 8.0 and used Free classic menu i guess until Lenovo fix the driver issue this laptop has to stay at 8

    Thanks a lot

Yep! It seems like others are having the same issue. Why not add your concern to this existing list:

I'm glad that you followed through to support directly because many just complain in their forums and nothing gets done. Nice work!
