Remote Desktop Flickering

When I start a remote desktop connection it all works fine. After a random period of time the desktop icons, taskbar icons disappear, can not access metro, shortcuts do not work etc.. The whole screen starts flickering, desktop image as well.

A restart and reconnect fixes the problem for a while then it happens again and again.

I tried the connection from a macbook, another win 8 laptop, and iphone, all with the same result.

That is a refresh rate issue on the Macbook. What happens when you use Teamviewer on both machines? Do you get the same behavior with that software also?

just installed teamviewer seems to be ok, i just find it strange how microsoft remote works fine for a few minutes then breaks.

I stopped using RDC, after too many holes that were not being fixed. Also I needed a better cross platform type utility, which Teamviewer meets that criteria.

Samething here. I use rdc for about 10 years, and now i always have issue with it. So i went to teamviewer also.
