    The wifi adapter is disabled

So, I woke up this morning and realized the the wifi adapter on my ThinkPad 430 is disabled. It's been working perfectly fine for a couple years, but as of this AM it didn't work. My smart phone can connect to the wifi access point just fine. Does anyone have any idea what I can check to get it working again?

    I have Windows 8.

    Hello ryguy,

If you have not already, check in "Network Connections" to make sure that the Wi-Fi network adapter is enabled.

Network Adapter (NIC) - Enable or Disable in Windows

In addition, double check to make sure that you have Airplane mode turned off, and Wireless devices (Wi-Fi in 8.1) turned on.
    Hope this helps for now,

The first link helped me figure it out. Somehow, under Network Connections, the Wifi was disabled. I right-clikced it, enabled it, and it's working fine now.

    Thanks so much!!
