My dad thinks I'm running a VPN and somehow under windows folder is a folder called "vroot" or "v root" or "v-root" something along those lines. What is that folder and how did it get under there? The laptop is a HP. He said it had my files under there. How can one find if there is a VPN on there computer? If there is how can one get on there because I did not put it on there?

Do you recognize the folder? I am only asking cause VPN does not come configured by default, that is a service you or someone else had to set up. My only thing you can check is right click on the files in there and check the created date to see if that helps ring a bell.

If you google "vroot" you'll see that vroot is a setup for rooting android phones. Have you (or another user of this PC) tried to root your phone recently? If so then it has nothing to do with a VPN.
