I have Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Ubuntu installed on my Desktop. Every so often both versions of Windows will not connect to the internet (hard wired), even though my modem is working fine. Boot into Ubuntu and the internet is blazing fast. There are numerous threads all over the internet regarding this issue. What is strange is that the next day Windows is able to connect to the internet. Any ideas what is going on?
Steps I have taken:
1. Did a ipconfig /flushdns in administrative mode;
2. Repaired Winsock;
3. Reset TCP/IP
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
