Hi guys, tearing my hair out here. I have windows 8.1 pro on my desktop. I travel about so bought a laptop with Windows 8.1 on, bought a year's office 365 after finding I can only download my 2010 office to one pc.
Everything was great until I reinstalled windows without bloat on the laptop.
Now I cannot open anything from the office program or the skydrive app only skydrive. Com
I either get 'entity id has changed from registered id' message, corrupted file message or endless admin pop ups. Desktop still working fine. I have tried everything I can think of. Ran repair tool.
Only way I have resolved this is by using Google drive.
Any ideas please?

You can install office 2010 on/up to 3 PC's...I have mine on 2 desktops and one laptop.

With the reinstall, how did you reinstall? Using the built in factory recovery drive/software or a clean install? If a clean install you need to install all the laptop drivers from HP's website then make sure you have all MS updates installed.

What other version of office 2010 is there? You either bought it at a retail store or downloaded it directly from MS, both are retail.

For anyone googling it's a folder permission bug on the document folder in the application only. As skydrive. Com works I can't imagine it will a fast fix. If you change permission manually it will stay until a restart. Hibernate doesn’t effect it
