Cannot Connect to Wireless Network

This is a random issue, sometimes I can connect just fine, and usually a restart of my laptop lets me connect.

However sometimes when I try to enter the password it does not work. I get the error message 'the network security key is not correct. Please try again.'

I know for a fact that my password is correct, and sometimes it works, allowing me to choose whether I want to 'find PC's, devices and content on this network' etc.

Regardless of whether I click yes or no at this point I don't connect. And instead I am getting to this screen below. I have no idea what to enter as my username and password. As nothing to do with my wireless network has this requirement.

I have a similar problem with the new Dell Venue Pro. It is the only PC on my home network that doesn't connect to the home wifi but does connect to every other network.

A couple things to try as well. Resetting the modem by unplugging it from the power outlet for 2 minutes and plugging it back in. A factory reset may be needed to reset the stack. Do this by pushing a paper clip into the small hole on the back of the router, holding down the factory reset button inside until the router reboots. Then checking to see if there is a firmware update for the router.

Are you sure that username is SSID? Maybe it's a wireless network with a radius server that require credentials for authentication.

Thanks Shawn, but unfortunately the SSID as the username didn't work. My SSID is already displayed at the top of the connection window, and I already attempted to put the password/security key in, before reaching this menu.

I have no idea what else this could be asking me for, but I will try resetting the router once I get a chance and see if that solves anything.

Switching from WPA Auto to WPA2, or vice versa, does rectify the problem, but only temporarily, as last night by switching I was able to connect, but upon trying again this morning I cannot.
