I was happily using file history, it was backing up to my G partition, which is located on my second hard drive (both drives are internal)

but now I get error message:

I think the problem is that this partition got added to my user, that's what the network path shows:

How do I get it out of my user, and back on a normal path?

this happened when I moved My Music to the G partition, and I added to this library the music folders that were already on that partition. This caused the whole G partition to be included in My Music. I tried but couldn't get things put back together right. I got G out of My Music, but it stayed in my user.

So I used restore point to go back to an earlier configuration. That got G back where it belonged. Then after wrestling a little with file history I got it to play nicely with G again.
(don't choose the option of moving existing file history files to new location, because it won't find them, and will just give you an error message)

I don't know if you call this "solved", but I no longer have the problem.
