Greetings,

  • Please copy & paste the following into notepad.
  • Code:
    netsh wlan show all >%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    sc query dhcp >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    sc query dnscache >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    sc query wlansvc >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    ipconfig /all >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    netsh advfirewall show global >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
    netsh winhttp show proxy >>%userprofile%\Desktop\Network.txt
  • Save the file as "Network.bat"
  • Right click the file and select Run as Administrator.
  • This will create a file called "Network.txt" on the desktop.
  • Copy & paste the contents into your next post.

For any new machine the first thing to do is using a wired connection you must visit the Windows Update Center to obtain all the required updates for your new system.

Ok I connected to where it says limited connectivity to do this, and have already installed all needed updates. The following is the file you told me to copy and paste. Thanks:

This is showing a valid IP and you should be connected without problems.

Of course using McAfee personal firewall can easily cause problems like this.

If McAfee is a trail version then I strongly recommend that you uninstall it using the special tool in the link below, as this is by far the most likely cause of the problem.

New machines are typically loaded down with preinstalled programs that can cause problems and mostly just take up space on the harddrive.

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR)
