No connection available

Hi,
I need help!
Today I woke up to a normal day, normal birds chirping and everything normal
but as I facemy laptop, I was shocked to see that it does not connect to any network, out of the blue!
I tried various tutorials and help I found in Google, not one helped me!
I tried to enable and disable the wifi in the Device Manager, but I can't find the wifi!
My pretty Acer V3 -471G does not connect to any of it,
When I open the "Change adapter settings" there's no wifi but just "Ethernet, Network cable unplugged, and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller"
What is that?
When I asked for troubleshoot it always asked me to connect to Ethernet cable
Are there any better solutions? Please!
Oh and other device can connect to it well, for example this iPad I'm using right now
I greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

Oh and it seems like my laptop is updated to Windows 8.1 last night before I sleep,
does this has anything to do with Windows 8.1?

You need the drivers for the Realtek PCI-e GBE family controller NIC which are listed as 8.020 for Windows 8.1.

Or try going to Windows update using a wired connection and download all updates.

Like I mentioned earlier, you can fix most problems related to the update to 8.1 by simply visiting the Windows Update Center.
