No internet access through hosted network in Windows 8.1

    I tried connectify.... that's working... but i got 2 BSODs 1 or 2 hr back... not concurrently ...

    Well, till now I have changed my laptop, also the internet sharing feature is now not required for me... so....

    Check the firewall settings. Since the virtual connection uses an address range that is different from your local network it may be that this is blocked. I had to manually add an exception to my ESET firewall. I can imagine that other security suites also block the "new" network.
