I think you are referring to turning off SSID broadcast which will be on the wireless set up page.

This would prevent casual users from seeing the routers wireless signal although there are still plenty of ways around this.

The setting is listed under Getting Started with Netgear Genie which is #2 under contents, page 27 shows where the setting is in the link below.

    http://documentation.netgear.com/wnr...usermanual.pdf

You just need to uncheck where it says Enable SSID Broadcast.

I meant like, stealth ports if a port scan is performed on my IP address etc, but that is helpful too, I'd give you rep points but it says I need to spread some more around first for some reason.

By default, the router blocks inbound traffic except replies to outbound traffic so all ports should be in stealth mode.
Go to Gibson Research and run his ShieldsUp test and it will show you if any of your ports are at risk.

Every port is 'stealthed' besides port 25 which is closed, any idea why it's doing that?

You can go to Gibson Research and check their Forum but from what I see that port is for outgoing mail and your ISP is blocking any inbound traffic and in that case ShieldsUp will show it Closed.
