    I'm glad you figured out my explanation.

    These drive share settings are really an expansion of the default settings that Windows uses for the C:Users folder.

    Easing up the security for this folder allows access to only the Users folder which is safer than sharing the entire drive.

    You can also set up selective user sharing by setting up a Homegroup along side a Workgroup.
    Yes, I will share files on only one folder to ensure safety for my computer.
