Event Viewer - Intel 3945ABG

Hi, my event viewer is flood with information about:

The description for Event ID 5010 from source netwlv64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\NDMP6
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can someone tell me what is causing this or how can i trouble shoot this information?

My system is

Dell Latitude d630
O.S - Windows 8 Pro 64 Bits Eng Version

I think i got the answer to my own question Event ID 5010 ? Network Adapter Hardware Failure.

My driver is 13.4.0.139 from intel is this the latest one?

Hi, thanks for the help, i think a i am going to buy a new pci card, this one on ebay Lenovo ThinkPad T400 T500 Intel 5100 Wireless N Card | eBay.

There is support for windows 8 in the intel site https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...Windows 8*&DownloadType=Software Applications

The Event ID isn't showing that the hardware is bad, this is only a driver problem as this particular adaptor isn't working with the old Windows 8 drivers.

Everyone using the Intel 3945abg adaptor is getting the same error message per the link below.

You might try the manufacture's web site for a new driver but Intel isn't supporting this device any longer so updating to a new adaptor that is compatible with Windows 8.1 might be the best option for now.
