Hello ,
I am new to the forum , so hello to all . I have searched the forums and the internet in general and can not find an answer to my problem . My problem is , when I boot up Win 8.1 and get to the lock screen , the network icon has the yellow triangle . If I continue , startup programs will not load and I can move around in Windows , but anything I try to open just does not . I have re installed LAN drivers , stopped startup items , and many other suggested actions . If I restart over and over it will eventually "see" the network card and boot normally , and I can get into safe mode and it works . I thank you all for any help ,
Ken

Josh you are the man ,
I found the culprit using the guide you posted . It is Malwarebytes anti malware Pro . Now I have to figure how to make it play nice . I have 2 other Win 8.1 machines running MBAM Pro with no problems . Go figure . Thanks a million for your help ,
Ken
