    I was hoping that you would just try the "restore default settings link." Could you please try that because I have not found anyone that has been able to make that work.

    Oh, that, no it would not restore Power settings to default, "Access Denied ".

    OK. Thank you so much for that important confirmation. It appears that Avast is causing many issues for "some" but not for all, and since I was included in the "some", I cannot go back "until" I am assured that all issues are resolved. Thanks again.

    Something new, forgot to again make my settings to Power Plan after attempting to go to default and when restarted computer it was back to defaults even as it refused to do it immediately.
