I have an old (but still amazing) NL-2511CD-Ext 2 card manufactured by senao. so I spent some time on this before giving up & here is what I know:
it uses a prism 2.5 chipset (Melbourne Wireless / wiki / ?Senao-SL2511CD)
the last released official driver was 2006 from what I could find (Senao Networks, Inc. ?????????)
this card is legendary, and now I need to use it (I have had it for many years) so if someone can help me it would be incredible.
more info:
SenaoCard - SeattleWireless
IntersilPrism2 - SeattleWireless
I had hope when I saw this:
http://wikidevi.com/wiki/Intersil/p54/usb/windows
but my card is not listed there!
thanks for any assistance!
UPDATE:
it seems like the driverset at http://wikidevi.com/wiki/Intersil/p54/usb/windows would work, which means that people are interested in getting their old cards to work. that driver set was community made, and I think it WOULD work, but when I tried it windows gave me an error saying the hash information was not correct, and I don't have the technical skills to mod the driver file or find the hash of my device, but maybe someone who does can help me.
btw, when I said this card was legendary I was not kidding. there really isn't anything to compare this too, unless I wanted to spend a fortune of money, which I don't, and even then it would be arguable. this is one of the best wifi adapters ever made, especially with the magnetic mounted dual antenna setup, which I have.
