W8 Wifi

I bought my children new computers this year and they came with W8. Right now both PC's are having issues with the Wifi. It keeps cutting out on them randomly. I looked around and discovered that many others are having the same issue. Apparently it is a driver issue caused by W8.

Is there a fix for this yet, other than re-installing the drivers every time this happens, or restarting the PC? Some more realistic solution for children who aren't very computer savy?

In the Device manager, look up the WiFi driver and it's properties and turn off power saving features so it is always on. It might be shutting off after certain time of inactivity. That is prevalent with laptops because of need to save as much power as possible.

The setting for this is in the link below with a picture for clarity. I don't know if this is the problem or not but this setting seems to be causing problems.
