Wifi - Multiple SSID Connections

I do believe I wrote a tutorial for that purpose...
Although yes, technically speaking, you can connect to both at once. However, without specifying which adapter each program should use, it distributes network traffic between the two networks.
But it is only possible if you have multiple WiFi adapters (or some sort of virtualization adapter) inside your machine. Else it has to be WiFi + Wired LAN, as most people only have 1 WiFi adapter installed in their laptops.

No your tut uses a thirdparty software and it's off a LAN and Wifi adapter, this is using a single wifi adaptor - built-in wifi to connect.

I'm not sure a single WiFi is able to connect to multiple WLAN's at the same time... would need to do some testing to confirm.
And I'm sure that if the built-in WiFi and the WiFi adapter card are both separate it'd definitely be possible... but again, I have no evidence, as I only have one WLAN at home.
I guess that means I need to update my tutorial, because you can do it from 2 separate WLAN's you're connected to at the same time. Thanks for pointing that out.
Also, the third party software is only so that you can bind programs to specific adapters. Windows will automatically connect and use both equally (stabilisation) without making this change.

My wifi picks up neighbour's SSIDs but i don't have the password to connect :p

If you have a nice neighbour maybe you can test this out Avalon.

Well I set up a tether just now, and from what it looks like I only have 1 available WiFi adapter (meaning I can only use one WiFi connection at once), even though my ipconfig says I have more than one WiFi adapter. I connected to my phone through WiFi but then I was disconnected from my home WiFi.
If I connect through LAN and WiFi it still works.

Hey... I liked this discussion. I'll try that tomorrow in the university. There I have many avaiable SSIDs, but never tryed that with W8.

Thanks! The more info we have the better, I think.

I like your reply, use the built-in wifi connection, when it picks up the SSIDs try connecting to more than one.

My guess is that it will connect but not sure how internet access will work.
