It was working earlier but couple of hours later when I booted up my win8 laptop.. There was a red x on the network I was trying to connect to and a message saying my computer settings not matching.

I looked it up on youtube and I tried selecting "No authentication" and for encryption type I chose "None". But still didn't work.

Sometimes it would say limited first then when I try to reconnect the message above will appear.

What should I do? Please and thank you :)

You don't want to use those settings No authentication or encryption won't work.

When in doubt create a new wireless profile and make sure that the routers wireless settings match the ones you are using which should be WPA-2 security and AES encryption. It may even require that you reset the router then redo the wireless settings like set up the SSID "name of network" encryption type and password etc.

After this, if you are still having problems please post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine.

The following link may help. :)
