Internet Remote Desktop to win 8 pc no go!

HI all, at my wits end with trying to get Remote Desktop access functioning on my new win 8 pro PC. I have closed firewalls/virus protection etc, I have enabled remote access anywhere and everwhere. I assume port 3389 is okay as I can remote connect with my win7/xp/win 8 pro laptop to many other PC's over the internet. I can connect to the said PC over the local lan using the name convention but not over internet address 110.143.xxx.x

Never thought it would be this hard after so easily using xp and win 7.

Any help greatfully appreciated...... otherwise win 8 pro is out the door!

I'm not to sure on this but, did you type the drive letter after the IP> example \\192.168.1.10\c

Hi,

ok but this is not enougth, can many other PC over the internet connect to yours PCs ?
the port can be open in the way out but closed in the way in, maybe in the router's firewall ?
