    Suddenly not finding any networks

Hello guys! I just got Windows 8 a week or so ago and I left it on today. I came home and my internet suddenly couldn't find any networks. I googled how to get it back, but when I go to pc settings there is no Wireless tab. I cant turn it on, I've tried reinstalling my wireless card LAN driver, restarting my PC and doing a system restore to the last recommended time, nothing works. Please help me.

Could you first try plugging in an ethernet cable and connecting locally? This will determine if it is the OS being unable to connect at all or if it is to do with the wireless NIC.

Does this happen to any other device on the network?

Also could you please try and connect wirelessly in Safe mode with networking to see if there are any third party applications that may be interrupting the connection process. To do so please follow this tutorial (Option Three) - Safe Mode - Start Windows 8 in

    Please post back your results

    Many Thanks,
    Josh!

I cant connect an ethernet cable, it doesnt reach. It hasnt happened to my other laptop or my Kindle. I reinstalled Windows 8 and it still doesnt work, might be my card? I also tried to refresh the OS before, but it got an error. I uninstalled my realtek driver and the microsoft kernel and the 801.2m something something card (thats not the actual number, but it looks something like that). IŽll get it on safe mode, but once I do what do I do?

Upon loading of safe mode see if you can find Wireless networks. Are you able to upload a screenshot of your device manager so I can see what device drivers you have installed

If you can get the model number I could find up to date drivers for you. How did you install the drivers?

I would send an install file which includes the most recent drivers for your card and then you uninstall the old one and then run the install file. The ipconfig would not be necessary since you cannot connect to a network. The ipconfig details are needed if you can connect to the router but cannot access resources such as the internet

I would say no bigger than 100MB. It shouldn't be too big based on today's standards
