I have an issue (that is none existent when running win 7 on same machine) with downloading files, doesn't matter what it is or how large I get a download interrupted error on ie and network error using chrome. Same thing happens on wired or wireless. Have tried a clean install and an upgrade from a clean fully working win 7 install. Have tried another WiFi dongle although it happens when using Ethernet. The annoying thing is that I had a fully working win 8 install and I decided to do a clean install as my drive was full and cba going through it all. Im not finding google is helping me much this time. I have been getting connection reset error on Minecraft also. If anyone can solve this they'd be my hero lol

It finds no problem. Its driving me nuts. My first thought is that it may be a driver, but I don't think there is a driver that effects both a USB adapter and on-board Ethernet port. Second thought is if some how windows is limiting my downloads in some way like if it goes above a certain speed it cuts it off.

Some ISPs talked about throttling download speeds for their users for various reasons, such as very high continuous bandwidth use, torrent use, and music download abuse. But from what I understand warnings have to be issued first that you will be throttled down.

Besides that, how are your other devices connecting to your router and are they downloading ok?

Have you reset your router since? (powered off then back on)

Have you done a virus check since?

If you can get to safemode with networking, check your download speed and duration then.

If there is no difference then the problem may be in the router itself.

I would suggest you try to flash your Motherboard to the latest revision. Be careful though and post here if you need help doing that!
