Hello

I have a problem that drives me crazy. Randomly, my wifi disconnects many times a day (Limitted conectivity or ), sometimes every 5 minutes. I solve the problem temporarly by:
1.)Running the Troubleshoot of the wifi connection, and it resets the adapter automatically( and at the end of the troubleshotting it says: "WiFi doesnt Have a valid IP configuration, or sometimes The default gateway is not available")
2.)Sometimes the Troubleshooter cant reset the adapter, and I have to do it manually.

By reseting the adapter, the problem is solved only temporarly, because I have to do that mayby 20 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.

I use Windows 8 on Asus K55 VJ , Intel Centrino 2230 adapter with up to date driver.

PLEASE, PLEASE help me, the laptop is new, its sold as a Windows 8 engine, and its really embarrassing that I have this problem...

Here are some print screens that can help you

For default gateway problems try typing in the gateway "192.168.10.1" into the IPv4 properties of the wireless network adaptor.

Sometimes windows has problems picking up the gateway from certain routers which is usually just a hardware compatibility problem.

The link below explains the process.

Windows 7 Unidentified Network, Limited Access, No Internet Connection Problem Resolved

I posted a picture of this setting for clarity. :)

Didnt solve the problem :( .

People PLEASE HELP, this is embarassing...

Using a wired connection, please go to the Asus support site and download the latest drivers for your system. I know you said the drivers are up to date but if that were the case then you wouldn't be having any problems.

Have you been to the Windows Update Center?

What type of router do you have, make model etc.?

What is the signal strength on this machine, distance from the router etc.

You should be using WPA2 security with AES encryption.

Your screenshot shows a subnet mask of /16 or 255.255.0.0 you should probably be using a /24 or 255.255.255.0 for your subnet mask on a local/private network.
