Network problem

My computer keeps listing the internet connection as "limited". It does this randomly, I don't know when it will happen next. Restarting router/computer fixes it sometimes, but not all the time. Sometimes it takes about 4 restarts of the router until I get a proper connection. Trouble shooting merely describes the problem as having no connection and tells me to reconnect the router. This takes around 5 minutes each time and I'm getting tired of doing this, as it interrupts skype calls, games and conversations.

Is there any way of fixing this problem permanently?

Nothing has changed, I am still receiving random bouts of limited connection and in some cases my computer disconnects and refuses to reconnect until the router is rebooted. This is only happening to my computer as several others in the household are running fine during that time.

I tried your solution and it ended up costing me 1 and a half hours of trying to reconnect to the internet, as it immediately turned my connection to limited. I ended up rebooting the router 3 times.
