I'm having issues connecting to a VPN I have established at home. I have confirmed this works on machines on other networks, operating systems, etc. I can even get it to work on my machine via Ubuntu.
It is definitely something local, however I cannot seem to nail it down.
I get "Error 720 - A connection to the remote computer could not be established. You might need to change the network settings for this connection".
This is a PPTP connection with CHAP v2 encryption. All other computers and devices it has worked on required no configuration (Just typed in IP/credentials and it auto connected).
I have tried-
-Resetting IP stack
-Uninstalling, reinstalling TCP/IP and all WAN Miniport drivers
-Changing to all different encryption types/protocols on adapter settings
-Disabling IPV6 from the VPN adapter
-Multiple different networks (locations)
-Probably more that I have not listed.
I have tried all of the fixes I was able to find through searches to no avail.
My hardware:
HP ENVY 14" Laptop 8GB Memory 1TB Hard Drive m4-1115dx - Best Buy Envy m4&cp=1&lp=1
Windows 8 Pro
Does anyone have any ideas?
