Did have a Wired Access Point plugged into the BT home hub 3, as a Wired Access Point does not play nice with the hub.

I wonder if you have a bridged connection with your wired and wireless adapters..

When you connect with the ethernet do you have the wireless turned off via switch? or do you just let it disengage automatically and connect via wired?

If you turn your computer on with NO network connections, wired and wireless disconnected, does it still crash your network?

Theres a bit of info missing here, and thats where the problem is....

lets assume that there is a manual IP that was set....

Please go to device manager and uninstall your wireless adapter, then on top click on action, then select scan for hardware changes.

    reboot

Connect to your wireless network ( with ethernet unplugged ) enter password.

    Browse web,

    crashed network? reboot crashed network?

Hi Brooklyn567, I didn't get a notification of your reply so sorry for this belated response.

Just now I booted the PC without any wireless connection or Ethernet, so no internet connection at all, and immediately my router dropped the broadband connection!

So i came here to report the fact and saw your reply. Does this mean there is some kind of power supply problem?

    Thanks

Solved - I bought a tacima mains power conditioner and the problem is gone. I'm guessing the psu is creating noise and knocking out the router!
