Well I guess my next question would be why does it only not work on this router? I've tested it on 5 other wireless networks and its fine.
Thanks for the info on adapters

re-enter your wifi password, this has been the cause of many many limited connection problems..

I wish windows would just tell you when its wrong, I guess its to discourage guessing at passwords from people who shouldnt be on.

I've clicked forget this network many times and retried. I even tried entering the pass code wrong, and it told me it was wrong. I removed the password, I tried using the WPS button and it wouldn't connect. Actually, when I tried using the WPS set up it told me I had to enter the password because it couldn't get the info from the router.

Well I'm at an absolute loss. I bought a wifi USB adapter and the SAME exact thing happens. It says limited by the network and won't connect. I'm seriously lost now.

It could be compatibility issues try running windows in safemode with networking. If you don't know how just hold f8 at start up and select safemode with networking

Okay I went into adapter setting and diagnosed my belkin usb adapter and it said turn wireless capabilities on. So I did. And then I was able to load google.com. 5 seconds later it turned the USB adapter off. I turned it back on and it turned it off again..

Viruses will disable internet access to prevent its removal..

as SammysTech suggest start the computer in SAFEMODE WITH NETWORKING

most viruses will not load in this mode and default net drivers will load

I know safemode startup is a big todo sometimes so here are 2 batch files that will get you there painlessly..

    SafeMode Boot w Networking.bat

    Normal Boot.bat

Right click them as needed and as administrator, they will reboot automatically..

Note the system will always reboot in safemode until you run the NORMAL batch file, then everything is back to normal.

Once in safemode w networking, if you can browse the web, then download/update an antivirus prog and run it.

EDIT>> Place these on your desktop

Used safe mode and it wouldn't allow me to turn on the wireless because I couldn't run diagnostic in safe mode. There seems to be no other way to enable wireless capabilities other than running diagnostic and letting it detect that it's off. Also my regular wireless card didn't work still in safe mode.
This seems like a unique problem no one else has.

Not so unique as you might think.

If you haven't updated the firmware on your router recently then now would be a good time to do so.

Did you start in safe mode or safe mode with networking, the difference is night and day..

Once in safe mode with networking you should be able to click your wireless icon and click connect

Safemode w networking will not automatically connect for you, you must do it..
