hi there stranger, sorry to hear your having probs. The detailed info link at the bottom of the page may shed some light on the problem. More than likely its a signal/channel issue. Placement of the adapter and router should be as high as possible and away from walls and shelves and windows, solid objects and metal frames can be contributors. A free program like inssider or xirrus wifi inspector will show you what channel all your neighbors are using, you want your router on one that is least used by neighbors. Microwaves and cordless phone bases shouldn't be close to adapter or router either. :geek:

If the issue is interference, the solution is changing the channel in the router wifi settings. The program will show you what channels are most used by your neighbors, you change to a diff channel, hopefully it stops dropping out.

so,...are you telling us this router is not in your home? How far are you from the router, and what is the signal strength?

have you checked at the laptop makers site for the most up to date driver for your adapter? Not a lot you can do if it isn't your router to adjust. :(
