Hello,

I'm having a problem with my windows 8.
Sometimes, when I wake up my laptop from hibernation, it says there are wireless connections available (little yellow star on the network strength icon) but when I click there nothing happens, it doesn't open the side bar like it normally does, forcing me to restart the computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Bernardo, welcome to the Eight Forums.

A workaround for your issue: If the Charms bar (sidebar) is not opening showing network connections when you click the connection icon in notification area, simply press Win + I (letter i) to open Charms Bar and select Internet Access.

This will open the network connections for you.

hello sir, thank you for answering me. No, The charms bar opens, and I can see the internet icon, but when I click on it nothing happens. The connections pane doesn't show up.
