Hi, this just started this morning, (ie was working fine when I used it yesterday from my desktop), but when I clicked on the ie icon on my taskbar it tried to go to the following instead of msn.ca (which is still shown as my homepage in tools/internet options) : https://login.secure.co1.msn.com/wlsignin.aspx?ru=http://ca.msn.com/&wa=wsignin1.0 and it says "This page cannot be displayed."
Now Ie works fine from metro, but I prefer my favorites displayed like ie9 instead of 50-70 start page icons. So, I usually go straight to desktop when I open windows.

Now I have NOT changed anything.

As I said all was working well yesterday when I shut down, but it no longer works from desktop. It is ONLY msn that won't work. Any other site works fine as a homepage, but I have had msn for so many years that I don't care to change it.

I have not checked into my registry as I really don't like messing with it. It's too easy to screw up.
Also using ie from the start page and telling it to display on desktop also leads to the above page trying to load.

Thanks for any help.

My.msn.com just died today for me as well so it's either deliberate or the site just went down for some reason.

Update: My.msn.com just came back for me but the sign in isn't working right still.

Just logged on and it's working again. Have no idea why, seeing all that I have done is go to sleep for 8 hours, but I'll take it and ask no more until it screws up again.

Thanks to you who answered.
