Limited Connectivity

Hello. I've been having a lot of problems with my internet connection and I can't figure out why. I have an Asus laptop with Windows 8 built in and the connection goes on and off constantly, which is weird since my Acer connects just fine.

Things I've tried to far:
-Uninstalled McAffee completely
-Unchecked the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
-Troubleshooted and it says my connection is fine

If anyone has any advice, please help me out! I don't really know much about computers so I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

It might just be an IP conflict.

Unplug your modem and router and wait for 30sec.
Then plug back in your modem first and wait for it to completely start up. Then plug your router back in. Restart your laptop and you should be ok.

If the Acer connects fine then I would think the router is ok.

It may help to uninstall McAfee using it's special tool, McAfee is famous for causing problems like the ones you are seeing now.

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR)

If you are still having problems after removing McAfee then please post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine. :)
