Can someone tell me a good cheapish wireless adapter I should get for my gaming PC i am getting soon. I'm really stumped and dont know what to get

USB, PCI-E, or Ethernet?

I'm using a Trendnet "gaming adapter" that wasn't advertised as a PC wireless adapter. Its interface to the PC is Ethernet, so it requires no special drivers.

USB probably offers the widest choice, at the lowest price.

I use the Netgear WDNA 3100A, it's kind of a hassle to install, it is supposed to download the installer from Netgear but that does not always work. Yah, it's a good cheap solution and if you buy it new you'll get an install disk, use the windows 7 drivers and then update them using Windows Update. Netgear has the drivers online, if you enter your serial number it will point you to the exact driver. Don't have the URL but just look on the Netgear page.

Belkin also makes a small USB connector, for 25 bucks, I've always gone for Belkin over other network stuff because they have been around for ages.

I assume that you are going to use this primarily for gaming?
Internet signal strength is the life of online gaming. Wired is the way to go. Your top of the line machine is useless with a dropping internet signal. If your problem is the location of your main router to your PC, then this is where powerline adapters come in. You can buy them as a kit (in pairs) for as low as $45 (Buy the D-Link Powerline AV Network Adapter Starter Kit at TigerDirect.ca) and they are a really good investment. You can use the existing electrical system in your home to route your internet signal with zero speed loss. You will use your electrical outlet as your internet port using these adapters. I have 4 of them at home... 1 in living room for my home theater PC, 1 in masters bedroom with built in wireless mini router, 1 in another bedroom and 1 in my den where the router and my main PC is. I just use my wifi for my wireless tablets and smartphones.
