When I go on the app store I receive a massage saying my internet is not connected when in fact I am connected to the net and can go on line with a browser. Similarly all the apps show "offline" status. Funny thing is that when on the startpage I can see that the financial ticker is uptodate, but when I go on the app it says "offline" and shows news from 10 days ago.

This did not help either. the funny thing is the icons on the start are up to date and current, but when I press them they go back to three weeks ago and show "off line" notification

This thread talks about the problem and shows a few possible solutions. :)

Windows 8 Pro x64 Apps won't connect to internet ? - Microsoft Community

I'm not so sure this will help with the Apps going back to three weeks ago problem, a system refresh or reset may be required to fix that type of problem.

It might be worth while to run a system file integrity check, the link below shows you how.

Do this:
1. Press windows button+R
2. search for "services.msc"
3. on the left side search for "windows event collector" and right click on it and select properties, in the General tab you will see "startup type", change "startup type" to 'automatic' then apply and press "ok" (startup type:Automatic)
4. again search for "windows event log" and right click on it and select properties, in the general tab you will see "start type", change "start type" to 'automatic' then apply and press "ok" (startup type:Automatic)
5. tatz all, now close the servise.msc and try to reload your store in windows app...
Hope it works for you

Yes, i do know that the post is 2 and half year old but i saw people with the same problem are not able to fix it. I too had the same problem before and also i did lots of research, tried everything to fix it. But finally i was able to fix it with the above solution (tat i have posted). So i thought of sharing the solution here so that it can help the people with same problem like mine. :) ;)
