You can only have a static IP address if your internet provider allowed you to have one and assigned you a static IP address most ISP do not give you static IP address unless you pay extra.

I'd contact your ISP before you go playing around with those settings. You may have to actually manually enter the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway info. If so you can't just pick one you need to use the one your ISP assigned to you originally.

No two devices on a network can have the same IP address. If you guess and use one that is already in use, you'll knock that device off the network along with your own PC. Keep guessing and knock a few more devices off, and your ISP won't be impressed. They will have a set rang of IP's set aside for static use, only they know what they are. There isn't much we can do so you're better off calling them. Why do you need or want a static IP? Is your internet working when set to dynamic?

You are going to have to call your ISP to get that set up correctly.

Well um , I called them and said to them if it is possible to change my IP back to Static , but they said , we need to pey extra per month in a new packet...But wait first of all how is this possible since I had static IP in the past , and now , I can't...Woah...Also I think changing to Static is worse than having dynamic isn't it ? Because Dynamic changes automatically , and you are somewhat safer ... Wtf... And static IP doesn't change at all...Omfg... **** this ISP !
