Hi, I have recently upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 on my lenovo z470. Recently I have noticed that when I switch on my laptop with AC power (with battery removed), wifi does not automatically start up. I have to manually switch on the wifi through the hot key fn + F5. However, this does not happen if I run on battery without AC power. The wifi will have automatically started and connected. I have untick the network adapter properties of "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. I have also ensured the WLAN AutoConfig is set to automatic. These do not solve the problem. What could have gone wrong?

Welcome to the forum deddy.

Do you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer for your WiFi adaptor ? The machine was running Windows 7 before so will probably need compatible drivers to run it on Windows 8.
