It takes many more tunnel adaptors to create issues.

You might try starting up in safe mode with networking to determine if the problem is from an installed program.

Reasons are completely same I think. I've just bought this computer. When I connected to wireless modem, I can use internet in a short time. After using 1-2 minutes I can't open any page.

After opening the Network and Sharing Center, I clicked the Troubleshoot problems, Internet Connections ect.
And computer detected problems, in 'Resolving Problems' step it says 'reset Wi-Fi adapter'. This step solves the problem. End of the steps it says the reason: Default Gateway not available.

For Lenovo try the steps outlined in the link, it seems that the Windows driver works better than the Lenovo version but to install the Windows driver version follow the steps in the first link. The second link shows how to start up in safe mode.

I'm not completely sure why it's required to turn off secure boot and then boot into safe mode just to change over to the Windows driver version but these steps seem to be working.

I read the messages but it seems like none of them are useful.

Due to comments, reinstalling Wi-Fi driver isn't working.

    Oh really?

Maybe you should read the comments from someone who it did work for... This is by far the best chance you have of fixing this problem.

I had this issues occur the last 3 days. I initally thought it was something simple with the router. Went through all these forums and suggestions. HP suggested it was the windows 8.1 update that had corrupted the drivers and since there was no windows network driver updates available yet, they have me reset my entire computer. Had to reinstall everything. Still didnt work. After days of trying things (deleting and reinstalling wireless driver, changing settings, ect), I found that "rolling back" the computers wireless driver has resolved the issue. To do so, go to your wifi connection and click on properties. Next click on the drivers tab and you will find option for rolling back driver. Not sure if this is a fix for all others issues for the disabled gateway issue but it seems to have cured my problem.

Hi yall, so I have a hp pavillion 7 that works completely fine except I can't get a wireless connection on my home network. It connects everywhere else (starbucks, school, work..) and I have taken it to my staples tech guy and he coudn't fix it. When I try to connect on my home network, I get limited access and "the default gateway is not available" error. Note that I live in a house with 5 other roommates and their connection works fine. I do not know much about computers and I am so frustrated with the issue that I want to throw my computer at a wall but that is not very cost effective... starving college student here. I would really appreciate any help from any of you.

    thanks!
