    Here I am again WIFI wont connect now ARGH!


    Hello I am back AGAIN! Now I have windows 8 basic 64 bit. My wifi now wont connect. It says limited. This is crazy, I tried trouble shooting but it and it wont fix issue. I reset the router as well still did not work. MY other computer works fine so I know it is a problem with the HP

    Go to your Start screen, type cmd, in the box, type ipconfig /all this shows us the addresses assigned to the machine and router, and connection status.

    When you installed windows 8 did you install your wireless driver from you PC/laptop manufacturer.

    You can use the snipping tool to save the screen shot tough I believe the snipping tool in Windows 8 is located on the main start menu which you can get to by hitting the Windows key plus Q.

    Ok this shows that you have a valid IP and should be connected.

    I can't see the top of the ipconfig and there may be more info down at the bottom.

    Have you tried to connect using an Ethernet cable?

    Have you been to Windows updates to obtain all the latest updates for this machine?

    Do you have any type of trial or third party anti virus software installed on this machine, if so which one is installed?

    Yes the one that came with it which is Norton Antivirus. yes I have also updated it.
