Okay my friends my roommate has the same laptop and hers does not work either what is up with this? Our other computers work fine. There is something in windows 8 that is creating problems.

How did you reset the router? There is a difference between a reboot and a reset. A reboot generally involves unplugging the unit where as a reset is using the hidden reset button on the back of the router, which is a tiny hole that you have to use a straightened out paper clip to get inside the hole to push in and hold down the reset button until the router turns off. This will reset the router to it's factory default settings.

Yes a proper reset involves the reset button although you would usually need to redo the wireless settings such as the security password and the SSID, encryption etc. Too bad I never get a chance to finish the threads, even when I answer first.

It's funny how everyone blames Windows 8.

Can I tell you why we blame 8. Things pop up when you are working on something, and you loose your work because some unknown thing occurs. You have apps you do no want so you have to go through all of them and delete them. I have had conflicts with software. Oh did I tell you the software in the first new computer went haywire andI had to be sent in. Look I have list.

Maybe if you all would listen to the costumers you might make something they love. Just saying

Those aren't Windows 8 created problems, they are problems caused by the manufactures insistence on installing software to your Op system which are nothing more than advertisements for other software company's.

Because of this I highly recommend that you uninstall all preinstalled bloatware that came installed on your PC.

You can use programs like Decrapifier for this which show you exactly which programs can be safely removed from the system.

Well those preinstalled programs are mostly in your program files and I'm sure they also preinstalled some Apps, the trial versions of anti virus software can be very problematic as well.

The software called Decrapifier can pick up all the preinstalled programs so you can uninstall them. Just be careful you don't uninstall things that you installed yourself.

    Download | The PC Decrapifier
