Solved HELP! limited connectivity!

I just got a new HP Envy and cannot connect completely to the internet.
It will not connect completely wirelessly or wired. I've reset my router and all other devices can connect with no problems. From what I've read this is not an uncommon problem...
When I troubleshoot it says "Wifi"/"Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration

Called HP and it had something to do with a driver being improperly installed.
