WiFi Problem

On my Windows 8 Laptop, when turned on - either from total power-down or Sleep mode, I always have to go through the 're-connection of my wireless link to my router' procedure, even though I have selected 'Connect Automatically' and the appropriate box is always ticked. I've had a look in the Control Panel to see if there are any further options but was unable to find any.........
The problem does not exist on any of my other PCs (which use Windows XP and Windows 7) which are linked to the same wireless router.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix it, would be much appreciated.

Thanks

goto your advanced power options and make sure windows isnt powering it down to save power. Goto search and type power options its in the settings tab. In your selected power plan select change settings then select advanced options and open "wireless adapter settings" and set them to performence.

you could also goto device manager find your wireless adapter right click and select properties. under the power management tab uncheck the box to let windows turn off this device to save power. If that doesnt work turn it back on again because im not sure if that will stop your wireless getting turned off when in sleep mode
