Do you mean "File Explorer?" If yes, right click on the left side of the pane, and choose what you want to show. And, consider going to control panel > network and sharing center to do what you want.

Ok, same thing--Windows Explorer; File Explorer; Windows File Explorer. I'd worry about getting to what you want via clicking on network in File Explorer later. If you want to fiddle with network related things go to control panel > network and sharing center. If you want to do certain things related to your router, then you might want to use Device Manager. What is it you want to do WRT your router?

You will need to type in the IP address of the router in the address bar of a web browser in order to change settings in the router.

You won't see your router there, You need to log into your Router to change its settings.
Open command prompt and type: ipconfig and look for the Default Gateway, that is your router IP, for example: 192.168.1.1 for my netgear, yours might be different then open the browser and type: http://192.168.1.1

I'll try to explain this as best I can. Network is a mix of XP, Vista, W7 and W8 desktops and laptops. All connect to router which has a Buffalo Link Station NAS attached and all machines save direct to that. All worked fine until BT decided the router was faulty and installed a new BT...
