Internet not working with windows 8

Hi, I am a complete technophobe but have just brought a Toshiba Satellite laptap (top of the range) with windows 8. I'm just about getting the hang of it but I am having problems running any app or desktop application that uses my internet (wireless broadband).

The internet is working because I have a netbook which is still fine - although it is not the most powerful or speedy of connections.

However whenever I search for anything (even a simple google search) it all just sits there looking at me with incomplete pages or what have you.

I don't want to do much with it - download some music, browse through some pages etc Is it possible that my internet connection is just not up to the all singing all dancing windows 8?

If you can post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine it would be most helpful.

If at all possible you should try using an Ethernet connection then go to Windows updates to see what they have for your system.

After that, obtaining the latest drivers from the Toshiba site may help with this problem.

Connect using a cable and see if problem persists, to rule out wireless issues.
