Tiles not connecting to the internet

    Live Tiles missing.

I recently refreshed my comp. as i had issues with my live tiles as you can see in the link above.
And now none of my tiles connect to the internet. I checked my connections, which is fine.

I keep getting a constant error msg saying that the tiles cannot be displayed as there are no internet connections available.

Having more problems. Darn. How about creating a new user account of the same type you typically login with? Copy everything you will need to the new account if it works. Then, delete the old account. You can go back to the original user name similarly. Before you do so make sure that deleting the original user account deletes that users folder in C: > Users. Sometimes this folder does not get deleted. If not, then going back to the original user name creates a minor superficial problem. To delete the folder you may have to take ownership. I would not go back the the original user name using any other procedure.

Yeah. To sum it up - Damn irritating.
I used the laptop at my frd's place and the tiles connected just fine.

After trying to figure out if there was any problem with my I-net, just found out that my Ipv6 connectivity is 'not connected'. I don't think this is an issue though.

I did try to create a new user account, but upon creation I found out that the new account has no live tiles in them.
I also re-installed the Inter pro wireless software-Driver recently. I'm nt sure if this has anything to do with it.

    An update:

I see a few people have viewed this thread.
So here's how I got the tiles to work properly again:

PC Settings - General: Remove everything and re-install windows. (It restores the comp to factory settings)
And don't forget to take a back-up or copy all your files onto an external hard drive.

Once re-installed you can go through the set-up procedures and the tiles work just fine.

I recently saw another possible solution: Apps - Turn Live Tiles On or Off in Windows 8. Sorry if this possibility would have worked for you back then, and I didn't know about it. Sometimes turning the update notification feature off and on forces the tiles into submission.

Will keep that in mind in case of any trouble in the future.

    Thanks.
